SC A Cappella Choir to Present Easter Concert on April 12

Southwestern College’s A Cappella Choir will present an Easter concert on Tuesday, April 12, at 7:30 p.m. in the Richardson Performing Arts Center. There is no admission charge and the public is invited to attend.

A Cappella Choir will be joined by Grace Ringers, the handbell choir at Grace United Methodist Church, and the Southwestern Children’s Choir.  Grace Ringers are directed by Anthony Gropper and Nikki Kirk directs the Southwestern Children’s Choir.

According to A Cappella Choir director Amanda Li, they will perform a program of sacred music in a variety of styles, reflecting on the joy and hope brought about by the sacrifice and resurrection of the Savior, Jesus Christ.

SC Students Cameron Carter, Jacob Giger, Carter Humphreys, and Sean Whitney are featured as soloists in the centerpiece of the concert: “Five Mystical Songs” by Ralph Vaughan Williams. The concert will be accompanied by organist Dr. James Leland and pianist Katie Miller.
