CAEP Annual Reporting

The following initial level licensure programs are approved by the Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE) and accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP):

Initial Level Licensure Programs:

  • Early Childhood Education Unified, Birth to 3rd Grade
  • Elementary Education K-6
  • Secondary Education
    • Biology
    • Chemistry
    • English Language Arts 6-12
    • Mid-level Mathematics
    • Mathematics 6-12
  • Physical Education
  • Master of Teaching, Restricted License

CAEP (Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation) has annual accountability measures which are used to provide information to the public on program outcome and program impact. 

Below are the four Southwestern College accountability reporting measures for initial level undergraduate programs with links to data tables that provide supporting evidence for each measure:

  1. Measure 1: Completer Effectiveness and Impact on P-12 Learning and Development
  2. Measure 2: Satisfaction of Employers and Stakeholder Involvement
  3. Measure 3: Candidate Competency at Program Completion
  4. Measure 4: Ability of completers to be hired in education positions for which they have prepared
