with Secondary Education Licensure
The teacher education program available to students desiring licensure to teach at the secondary level (grades 6-12) is a joint responsibility of Teacher Education and other departments of the college offering teaching field programs. Kansas teacher licensure at the mid-level/secondary level is available in the following levels and subject areas:*
- American History, World History, and Political Science
- Biology
- Chemistry
- English
- Mathematics
- Music (P-12)
- Physical Education (P-12)
- Speech/Theatre
General requirements
The education program requires 33 semester hours of general education courses in addition to major requirements. Please refer to the content area for a listing of the major requirements.
