Job Search

How do I look for a job?

There are as many ways to find and obtain a job as there are open positions out there, but studies show that 85% of jobs are obtained through networking – it is who you know that counts.

Some other commonly used job search methods are:

  • Online job banks
  • Mobile job searching apps
  • Company websites/job boards
  • In-person searching/applying
  • Cold calling a company
  • Career Centers

The Career Center will not only help you find out what methods work best for your industry and personality, but also help to make sure you are prepared for your search by assisting you with having a cover letter, job-ready resume and list of references. We will also show you how to research companies that would likely be a good fit for you.
